Scream Like A Baby
As my time on the Kill All Monsters! pitch is coming to a close, I'm starting to work out some bugs in the new style I hope to utilize on the next project, Braids of the Gorgon. It's going to be messier, for sure. But just how much more messier.... that's what I have to figure out. Here's a drawing that is just me trying to find that level of messiness.

That's pretty messy. Too messy? Depends if it's in color or black and white, I think. Color brings crazy linework in sharper focus, I notice. Also depends on the tone of the story.
But I digs it. Very "Jason Copland."
My Mom and I think it's the best!

Len - I'm not sure if the book will be color or B&W. I would think that it'll be in color, but the color will be pretty simple. But, I guess, that's way down the road from now. I'll continue to draw and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the digs!
Ian - You and your Mom have great taste in art!
I like it, but as far as "too messy" I'd have to see another one or two options. I'm a visual kinda guy, I guess. But I think the story would work nicely with that "messy" look.
Ladies and Gentlemen, James Powell is in the house! James has taken on the role of editor for Braids of the Gorgon. The book couldn't be in better hands.
Glad you dig the messy shi, James. You'll be seeing some sketches coming your way very soon, brother!
