A Day In The Life

My 24 hour comic is finally online for all to ridicule... er... read!

I did my comic on this year's International 24 Hour Comic Day (October 7/8) in the comfortable confines of my home studio. I listened to copious amounts of music (as detailed in my previous post) and lived off the sustenance of iced tea and Tim Bits (mostly sour cream ones and chocolate coconut sprinkle ones).

Anyways, please have a look at my comic and, if you feel the urge, please leave a comment here telling me what you thought of it.

Really enjoyed that, man. But of course the kids were playing hockey! The best line, though, had to be the cut-away with Agathe as to "why the Riposte cube is spherical!" Excellent!

Jason,

I just finished reading your 24 hour comic. Great job. I am amazed that you were able to finish all of that in 24 hours! Very well done. I liked very much the contrast that you created (tight inking vs loose inking, serious vs humor).

By the way, I have tried to e-mail to jason@jasoncopland.com and the mail bounced back. Does that address work?

Great job Jason. Hard to believe something that good was created in 24 hours. I was very impressed with the great job you did pacing the story, especially now that I know you weren't sure of how you were going to end the story until you were almost to the last page.

Thanks, Brian! Yeah, it was a bit of a gamble writing the story as I drew it... more than once I found myself staring at the wall trying to come up with what the next page was going to be about!

Thanks for checking it out! Glad you dug it. :)

Jason,

Nice work on the 24 hour comic. Great story, and it looks fantastic for a page an hour. Congrats.

Thanks, Scott. Yeah, it was interesting to see what I could get down on the page in an hours time. For the most part, I am pretty happy with the pages... which is saying a lot, if you know how big of a critic I am of my work! :D

Thanks for checking out the comic!
