Ink brush and marker sketch done while watching the Calgary Flames lose another game. That was their 9th straight loss. If you add that up with the current 12 straight loses for the Edmonton Oilers, you have a whole lotta unhappy people in Wild Rose province (Alberta), eh?

That's right folks! Tonight is the beginning of the 2007-2008 NHL Season! So, if you don't hear from me for a while it's because I just got the Bell ExpressVu Centre Ice hockey package! I'll be able to follow my Thrashers on TV now instead of internet radio! I just can't stop ending my sentences with an exclamation mark!

You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

The Montreal Canadiens announced today that they are retiring Ken Dryden's jersey number on January 29th.

Dryden wore jersey #29 for his 8 season career in Montreal, in which he won 6 Stanley Cups, a Con Smythe, the Calder and 5 Vezinas. He was the reason I got into playing goal when I was a kid. Which is probably why you might recognize his mask as my Blogger avatar.

Congratulations to you, Mr. Dryden!
