Here is a fully coloured Braids of the Gorgon page! This is the first page of the pitch Ken, James and I are putting together.

Colouring my comic art is relatively new to me, the only other colouring I've done was on my 5 page Dear Santa story, "Whatever It Takes" and the 14 page Trickster tale I drew. So, yeah, colouring is still pretty much a "learn as I go" experience. I posted an earlier version of the colours for this page up at Digital Webbing and got a few great critiques, especially the amazing post from pro colorist Nick Filardi, which helped me improve the page. I think it's "done" now, but I never can really tell when something is done.

I'm now almost finished colouring the third page of the pitch. The colouring is getting a little faster, but not any easier.

Jesus Is Just Alright

I haven't been doing much drawing in the past week or so. I've been focusing on finishing up the colouring on a few projects that are due very soon.

This panel is from a story called "Whatever It Takes", which I wrote and drew... and now coloured!

Warm Wet Circles

I've begun figuring out how I want to draw my next project. It's an autobiographical short story, entitled "Whatever It Takes", which takes place during Christmas circa 1989. Here are some sketches that are basically just me working on how I want to draw this story. These drawings are all without any underdrawing... just me, a drawing instrument (a pen or brush) and a jar of ink.

This post's title comes from the Marillion album "Clutching At Straws".
"Clutching" was the last record that featured Fish as the lead vocalist. It was a fitting send off.
